Getting Out the Vote

It's one of our most important rights, and a group is out in Wausau this week helping younger people exercise that right.

The New Voters Project is hitting the streets in downtown Wausau and on the fairgrounds this week, hoping to register young adults ages 18 to 24 for the November election.

"It's a chance to voice your opinion and tell everyone what you think, especially candidates, and let them know what issues your interested in," said Casey Schepp, of the New Voters Project.

To be registered you need a photo ID or your social security number and about two minutes to fill out the paperwork.
