Excited and enthusiastic, that's how John Kerry's supporters in central Wisconsin say they feel after last week's Democratic Convention in Boston.

More than 100 Kerry supporters and a couple democratic state lawmakers made their way out to Riverside Park in Wausau Sunday for a cookout to support the democratic presidential nominee.

The Kerry backers say they feel very good about the senator's chances of beating President Bush after hearing Kerry speak in Boston.

"Everybody's talking about the convention and how positive it was, and really the positive tone that the democrats have shown to the country," said Mike Moran, a local Kerry supporter.

Moran heads up a local Kerry office and says he's seen interest in the candidate pickup after Kerry's speech in the convention.
