Fresh produce fans rejoice; a local farmers market is doubling the amount of time vendors will have to sell their goods.
For the first time, the Wisconsin Rapids Farmers Market was open on a Saturday, doubling the number of days shoppers have to pick out everything from fresh veggies to homemade birdhouses.
The vendors say so far the extra day has been a success.
"When they said they were gonna have it on Saturday I thought maybe two or three vendors at the most and we're doing good," said vendor Carroll Bush.
About a dozen vendors were set up at the Farmer's Market. It now runs on Thursdays and Saturdays until the end of the season.
