One of the world's most popular soft drink makers is pulling all high sugar sodas from school cafeterias.
Leaders of PepsiCo Beverages say it will happen in 2012. They are voluntarily adopting the idea from the World Heart Federation and hope to help in the fight against childhood obesity.
At Newman Catholic Schools in Wausau, kids learn how to make smarter choices when eating in the cafeteria.
"We're trying to teach them nutrition and what's healthy and good for them. Soda isn't healthy," says Sharon Poblitz, Food Service Coordinator.
Newman's food program only offers kids water, milk and a very select choice of juices during lunch hours.
