Wood County officials say subjects in Nekoosa and Rudolph are stopping kids, asking them for directions and offering the kids rides.
The Wood County Sheriff's Department says they've received more than five complaints, and they're calling the incidents suspicious activities.
"There's been no action taken by these subjects, there's been no attempts to grab any of these children," says Lt. Bob Levendoske, Wood County Sheriff's Department.
Officials say they're not sure what the subject's motives are and they've been unable to gather a complete description due to lack of information. The reports involve several different cars and appearances of the subjects.
Parents in Wood County say the recent events have them concerned.
"This is a small community, I wasn't terrified, but it did cause some concern," says Karlene Dillingham, Wisconsin Rapids resident.
