Census forms are starting to show up in mailboxes around the country. But one community is dealing with a case of mistaken identity.
Watertown residents are reporting the wrong town is printed on the envelopes.
Forms for about two thirds of the 26,000 residents have the correct street address and zip code, but Johnson Creek as the city.
The census confusion led the mayor to contact the Census Bureau who told him things should be fine because the adress was for the post office, what matters to the census is the GPS related bar code.
The city is encouraging residents to fill out the form and send it back as is knowing they'll keep an eye on the results.
But one resident is still skeptical of the results. "I suppose they can send it in if that's what city hall is telling people but if it turns out wrong it might be hard to correct," said Louise Baumgart.
