Convicted robber Justin Zarada will serve just nine months in County Jail for the armed hold-up of a Port Edwards convenience store.
The 22-year-old appeared in court Monday and attorneys argued that because Zarada has no criminal history, it wasn't right to sentence the young man to prison.
Zarada used a knife to rob clerks at the Oasis Express 66 in Port Edwards on November 19, 2003. He could have received a maximum sentence of 40 years for the armed robbery.
