Going green is on the mind of many local home owners.
That's why hundreds turned out for a Home Show hosted by the Central Wisconsin Home Builders Association on Sunday.
Organizers say most of the people came to get advice from the 96 vendors on site.
"People are not only wanting to take advantage of the first time homebuyer credit the $8,000 that expires in April but the up to $6,500 for up grading. Some want to buy some want to make updates to their homes," says Lynn Hansen with the Central WI Home Builders Association.
Tax credits are available to homeowners who install new things like energy-efficient windows and doors.
She says the Home Show is also an opportunity for local businesses to make a connection with potential customer.
Hansen says 45 cents from every dollar spent locally stays right here in the community.
They also had workshops on things like home design and detecting radon in your home.
