Wisconsin-based Greenheck Fan Corporation has plans to expand, but not in our area.
The Schofield company intends to double the size of one of its plants in Mexico.
The doubling of the manufacturing space with eventually result in a proportional increase in the plant’s workforce there.
In a press release, Greenheck’s general manager Dave Kallstrom said "The decision to expand our
Mexican manufacturing operation was driven by the significant opportunities we see to sell our
products duty free into Mexico, and further south, in the near future.”
Here in Northcentral Wisconsin, the company has laid-off hundreds of workers since December 2008.
Greenheck manufactures industrial fans and ventilators.

Sounds to me like you were un-prepared for something like this. I have been unemployed before and I struggled week to week on my benefit checks. I didn't lay down and cry though, in the long run who fault is it? Bob Greenheck did not make a poor decision okay, why are you hating on him so bad for? Be thankful that you are healthy, or even alive. Bob Greenheck is in no way relation to me, I just believe that you are looking at him like he made a poor decision! He probably worked his off for what he has, why would you hate on that? Good for him right? This is the United States of America alright. There is absolutely nothing standing in your way to better yourself! Go to school and get a degree. Start working for yourself instead of being a mindless peon which is obviously how you feel, just a number, what a joke!
there"s a dance you should do for a fairy.Grab your toe and pull it towards your belly. Put your head on your knee ,hop hop hop like a Ebunny. Now your doing the David Kallstrom dance.
I just wanted to say to "justanumber" I was laid off in April of last year already. I was an office worker, I saw all of the orders that came in, and I will tell you now that there weren't many... In one months time we went from having well over 100 orders a day just in centrifigul, and they dropped down to maybe 30 on a good day. There are facts there that they aren't getting the orders that they once were. I am in no way anti-greenheck. I would still love to work there. In order for a business to prosper, they need demand, which isn't there right now with the poor economy. So in a nutshell, no your not "just a number" you are a person and they see that! Everyone see that!
