A Wood County man is behind bars, after a drug bust turns up thousands of dollars worth of heroin.
26-year-old Curtis Mallory is being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
He's charged with possessing heroin, with an intent to sell.
Authorities say they found about $15,000 worth of the drug during a search of Mallory's home in Grand Rapids, east of Wisconsin Rapids, last night.
He faces up to 40 years in prison.
The Grand Rapids Police and Wood County Sheriff's Department conducted the search warrant about 6 last night, at Mallory's home on the 4700 block of 77th Street.
The District Attorney says authorities found heroin in his bedroom and car, as well as $4,000 in cash, three long rifles, and a loaded semi-automatic AK-47.
The judge said he set the high cash bond of $25,000 because the loaded weapon was found near the drugs, and because Mallory is facing a felony charge.
The district attorney said in court, that she is disturbed by the case, because of how deadly the drug heroin is.
Mallory's next court appearance is scheduled for March 22nd.
