A former Milwaukee County sheriff's deputy will spend 18 months behind bars for beating a handcuffed man who asked to use the bathroom.
38-year-old Scott Krause broke down and apologized for beating Ray Calderon because he wouldn't stop kicking the window in the sally port while waiting to be booked in the jail on an outstanding warrant.
The judge said Calerdon was not a model inmate, but also reminded Krause that his reaction to that behavior was undoubtedly wrong and that he needed to be incarcerated to help gain back the community's trust in law enforcement and ordered a a year and a half behind bars.

Most of these opinions are right on! I heard there's a cop working for Lincoln County that beat his wife and kids, switched his wife's perscription and had a domestic abuse restraining order slapped on him and the dude is still a cop! Sounds like another Crandon incident waiting to happen. That officer in Crandon had a history of domestic abuse too, killed all those kids and himself and now the poor families can't even get justice. Quit hiding behind your badges you control freaks and be better examples for our children!
True there are bad applies in every group and they should be punished for over stepping their authority. Every group has their exceptions, diabled didn't understand what they were doing, police officers are stressed, drug addict was under the infuence (bad family life/environment)...the list goes on. We are all people and we need all to start taking a hard look on who we are morally before we end up completely lawless as it is in many parts of Mexico.
Posters like James and Tina are exactly the reason I record EVERYTHING I do on duty. Haters of law enforcement abound in this country, with ignorant attitudes like the simple examples from these two posters. I hate officers who abuse their authority and cause unjust harm or use excessive force on citizens, most police officers do. I want the bad apples GONE from my profession, but even then, I know there will always be haters for one reason or another. I will continue to do my job to the very best of my ability, but all officers please be careful and protect yourselves from the likes of "James" and "tina". To the good, law abiding citizens, please remember, just because a profession has a tiny number of criminals and bad apples, that does not mean all members of that profession are bad. This goes for all professions: teachers, post office workers, refuse collectors, ect, ect.
