Dangerous Time of Year on Roads

A new report shows the state's new lower drunken driving limit hasn't helped reduce the number of drunk drivers. And while many news stories warn drivers that Thanksgiving and Christmas are the most dangerous times of the year for drunk driving, Wausau police Lieutenant Dennis Saager says that's not the case.

"Ironically, based on the statistics, that so-called holiday speech should actually come in the beginning of May."

Lieutenant Saager says May, June, and July have the highest incidences of drunk driving. He warns not to let your guard down on the roads and, of course, always wear your seatbelt.
