Passionately Pink Volleyball Tourney Monday
The D.C. Everest Student Council is hosting the second annual Passionately Pink volleyball tournament as a fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen foundation.
It cost $7.00 to get in the door. People could get in free if they wore the pink shirts and shorts designed for the event. All money goes toward breast cancer research.
The 2010 Passionately Pink Volleyball Tournament is very important and the foundation puts the money to great use. With donations, the Susan G. Komen foundation provides education and research opportunities to doctor and physicians in the area, generate support programs four out-patients who have/are dealing with breast cancer, and provide assistance to the family members of patients experiencing the trauma.
Students raised $1,000 last year. They hope to double that total this year.
