Convenience, that's the goal of a $19 million expansion and renovation project at Memorial Health Center in Medford. Officials say the project will provide state of the art health care for many patients closer to home.

"It gives us the opportunity to attach the clinic to the hospital which will be real convenient for the physicians," says Cathy Reuter, M.D.

Right now, patients and staff have to travel to different parts of the building to get and give care. The new project will localize areas including surgery, radiology, and office space.

Funding for the project is provided through bonds and community support. A campaign has started for raising the money, and so far they've managed to secure more than $80,000 in funding.

The facility is expected to be completed late summer 2006.
