High Speed Chase Ends Fatally in Pierce County
A man is dead after leading police on a high speed chase and crashing his car into a ditch Monday near River Falls.

A man is dead after leading police on a high speed chase and crashing his car into a ditch Monday.
Pierce County Sheriff's Department says 55-year-old Dennis M. Rud of Gilman Township, near River Falls, was traveling south on County Road N when deputies tried to pull him over.
Rud sped off, when deputies found his vehicle in the ditch. Rud was ejected and trapped under his vehicle. He was later pronounced dead.
The accident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
