Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager is suing the companies that sell prescription drugs to Wisconsin.
Lautenschlager is joining other states in the suit that accuses the drug companies of fraudulently inflating their prices, and the attorney general has full support from Governor Doyle in the lawsuit.
"I applaud her. I'm doing everything I can to try to get lower prescription drug costs. I believe we ought to be able to go to Canada and get the same exact drug for 50 percent less," said Doyle.
Doyle says he'll support the lawsuit so long as it results in getting lower drug costs for Wisconsin.
