A truck versus school bus crash in Vilas County sent several students and a bus driver to the hospital Tuesday.
It happened just after 4 p.m. on STH 70 in the town of Washington.
The Sheriff's Department says the school bus was stopped in the westbound lane preparing to unload students at the stop. They say 42-year-old Jill Helgeson of Eagle River was driving in the same lane, did not notice the bus was stopped and rear-ended the bus.
There were 7 students on board at the time of the crash. All students and the bus driver were taken to an Eagle River Hospital for precautionary measures. Two students were treated for minor injuries.
Helgeson was taken to an Eagle River Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
