As Newschannel Seven was first to report, a young woman says she was driving home from work around 9 p.m. Wednesday night on Northwestern Avenue off of Camp Phillips Road.
The victim told police a man she didn't know forced her off the road and out of her car, but she says she was able to fight him off and escape when another driver stopped to see what was going on.
"Our number one thing is we have to talk to her and we have to find this passing motorist cause I truly believe he must of thought it looked funny or he wouldn't have stopped," says Captain Scott Sleeter with the Everest Metro Police Department.
The woman says that witness drove away too soon for her to get a good look at him. Meanwhile, investigators are still looking for the suspect and say they're having a difficult time getting a hold of the young woman for a follow-up.
