Area shoppers are taking advantage of the last weekend before Christmas, hoping to cross a few more things off their holiday shopping lists.
"I'm finishing up my Christmas shopping for my two daughters, I'm getting a TV and a cell phone," says Tina Brandt.
Even though we know it's coming, the holiday season seems to creep up on us every year.
For some of us procrastinating can be problematic, but some shoppers say you get the best deals if you wait until the last minute.
For Ashley Fuchs, it was a gift for her daughter that finally went on sale at Target in Weston.
"I'm getting this for my daughter, she's been waiting for weeks, and weeks, and weeks... I'm re-buying it because it came down 20 bucks."
Others say they wait to fill up their carts because they enjoy the thrill of shopping this time of year.
"I usually wait until the last minute I grab as many coupons as I can and go to all the stores. The rush doesn't bother me I don't mind people it's kind of fun to watch and usually you get a good deal," says Brandt.
Garth Hendrickson and his two sons were shopping for stocking stuffers and gifts for his grandchildren.
"I'm a traditional last minute shopper, I've got to get at least one item on Christmas Eve even if it's for myself," says Hendrickson.
