People get CT Scans to find out what's causing their medical problems. But new studies are raising concerns about their safety.
CBS News reports researchers found that CT scans can contain higher doses of radiation than once thought. That could lead to cancer.
Radiologists say no one really knows the risk of development cancer from radiation. But scientists are trying to find alternatives that
expose patients to less radiation.
That includes the "Flash" CT, which is faster and reduces radiation doses up to 90 percent.
Doctors say despite the possible risks, don't stop getting the tests, because they can be livesaving.
