Some warm hearts are helping the family get back on their feet, while their youngest daughter battles cancer.
The informational website GoRapids.com has a new mission is to help families in the city of Wisconsin Rapids.
This is the first family makeover the website's taken on. The Leach family has lived in their Rapids home for more than 15 years.
Their daughter, Samantha was born with a genetic disorder causes tumors to grow in the body.
Because of her illness it caused her family to neglect their home over the years.
Stacey leach says she almost didn't enter her family into the contest three weeks ago, but a day before the deadline, she changed her mind.
She couldn't believe it when they called and said she won.
"I looked at my husband and said we won and he said 'No we didn't' and I said yeah we did and I started screaming. They came running in because they didn't know what was going on," said Stacey Leach.
The family is receiving the works a new kitchen, bathroom, floors and appliances.
Organizers hope to finish the project by Christmas, so the leach family can enjoy it.
