It's one of the first preschools in the entire Wausau area, and it's celebrating a big birthday Saturday.
The Pilgrim Christian Preschool in Wausau marked its 30th birthday with an open house, petting zoo, face painting station and barbecue.
Pilgrim Christian's director says the preschool's early presence set a trend in the area.
"Shortly after Pilgrim started there were many other churches that decided to take up the preschool program, as well," said Toni Stanford, Pilgrim Preschool Director.
About 30 preschoolers take classes at Pilgrim Christian.
