For the last century, the Antigo Fire Department has protected the city. Now the community says it's time to honor their heroes.
The celebration kicked off with a parade downtown. Antique Fire Wagons strolled down the avenue as retired firefighters saluted the crowd.
These brave guardians were humble as many people cheered when they drove by. The kids of course scrambled for the candy and were excited to see the big trucks. But for the most part the ceremony was very somber because the firefighter family leads a dangerous life.
