The highway is open, but it will be a couple of more days before 1,500 gallons of gas will be cleaned up along Interstate 39 near Mosinee.

A truck carrying the fuel was northbound on I-39 when it rolled over Monday morning. The highway was shut down for 17 hours.

Tuesday, REI, a private environmental firm began assessing the impact of the spill. It will then spend the next couple of days soaking up the fuel and removing all of the contaminated fuel.
