RHINELANDER, Wis. (AP) -- The Lac du Flambeau man accused of leaving the scene of a crash that killed his sister is sentenced to a year in jail.

18-year-old Vinicio Jack pleaded no contest to homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, resisting an officer and several other misdemeanors.

Jack was driving in Lac du Flambeau last December when he lost control of his Jeep, flipped it and hit a tree.

His 22-year-old sister, Stephanie Jack, was thrown from the vehicle and pinned underneath.

She died at the scene.

Five others in the car were injured.

Police arrested Vinicio the next morning.

His blood alcohol level was 0.12, above the legal limit.

Vilas County Judge Neal Nielsen convicted Jack yesterday, ordered the jail time, plus three years probation.

He'll also lose his drivers license for a year.
