The bicycle rodeo in Weston Saturday didn't have anything to do with bull-riding or rodeo clowns, but a lot to do with bike safety.
Volunteers helped kids through an obstacle course designed to make them better and safer bike riders.
The kids were also able to pick up a free helmet that the event's organizers hope will increase the number of kids who use bicycle helmets.
"I think part of it is kids maybe not having one handy and leaving the garage with their bike without thinking about it. So, we try and promote the whole idea of having one handy and having one that fits," said Terry Geurink, bike rodeo organizer.
The rodeo and helmet giveaway was open to all up to age 13.
