It seems that Wausau residents prefer to hold trick-or-treating on Halloween itself instead of the closest weekend, according to a new survey.
It was conducted on the city of Wausau's Web site and ended this weekend.
The mayor's office says more than 70 percent of the approximate 500 responses want trick-or-treating held October 31, regardless of the day of the week.
The city council's Public Health and Safety Committee will make the final decision.
