Medical marijuana used to treat a 10-year-old boy with autism may sound shocking.
One California mother says she exhausted all other options.
Doctors once described her son, Joey, as hostile, destructive and a danger to himself and others.
His mother says he's now a different boy.
When she received news he was going to die earlier this year, she turned to medical marijuana.
She gave it to him in specially prepared brownies and cookies.
Joey's doctor said she noticed a difference within weeks.
She warns any treatment like this must be carefully monitored.
