The search is on for what caused a Marathon County shed to ignite Sunday.
Around 2 pm firefighters arrived to the home off highway U in Rib Falls, which is near Edgar. They found the shed engulfed in flames. The fire was shooting out of the roof and walls.
The property owner says she was inside her house this afternoon, and didn't even realize her shed was on fire until her neighbor came running over. She then called for help and began trying to put out the blaze herself.
Firefighters from Edgar and Marathon were able to contain the fire. They also put out a small grass fire near the shed before it could spread further.
Edgar's fire chief says the accident would have been much worse, if the surrounding woods would have caught fire.
