UPDATE: Wausau Woman Sentenced to Federal Prison in Meth Case

A 44-year-old Wausau woman will spend 22 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to distributing methamphetamine.

Investigators say a confidential informant made two buys of methamphetamine from Sandra Timm at her residence in Wausau. In March, law enforcement agents executed a search warrant at Timm’s residence and recovered 25 grams of methamphetamine.

Timm pleaded guilty to this charge on October 3, 2013.

The charge against Timm was the result of an investigation conducted by the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department, Wausau Police Department, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney David J. Reinhard.

A 43-year-old Wausau woman is expected to be indicted on five drug charges related to the sale and making of meth after a months long investigation.

According to a news release, on Thursday, March 21, investigators executed a search warrant at a home on the 900 block of Stark Street, after an informant was able to purchase meth at the residence.

Detectives seized approximately $7,000 worth of meth.

As result, Sandra Timm was taken into custody and is expected to be charged with two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to deliver, maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia.
