A seventh person has now been charged in connection to two area meth bust. Sou Yang, 23, is charged with three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of bail jumping.

According to court documents police say Yang was arrested March 11 as investigators executed a search warrant at a home on the 1000 block of S. 6th Avenue.

Investigators says a search of a Weston hotel room lead them to the 6th Ave. home.

In all, eight people were arrested. Seven have been charged.

Yang's bond was set at a $2,000 signature bond. He'll be able to be released from jail if he is able to post the first $500 in cash.

The most serious bond is for Thong Pathoumvanh. He remains in the Marathon County Jail on a $15,000 cash bond. Investigators says as they were executing a search warrant 1031 S. 6th Ave., an officer noticed a man, they identify as Pathoumvanh throwing meth out of an upstairs patio door.

Investigators say they were called to the Weston hotel after the guests stopped paying for the room, and employees smelled marijuana.

An eighth suspect was arrested near the Marathon County Courthouse Thursday afternoon. He has yet to be charged.

Six people have now been charged after officers from three area departments executed search warrants at a Wausau area hotel and home on S. 6th Avenue.

Dimitri Walters, Amanda Bartlett, both 22; Chelsea Sauter, 20; Thong Pathoumvanh, 53; Gabrielle Campo, 21; and David Brogli, 34; all made their initial appearances in Marathon County Circuit Court Thursday.
The suspects face numerous drug related charges.

Bartlett, Sauter and Pathoumvanh are also charged with maintaining a drug trafficking place.

Lt. Gary Schneck from the Marathon County Sheriff's Department says two other people have also arrested in connection to the busts. However, online court records show they have not yet been charged.

Seven people are expected to be formally charged Thursday for their roles in a suspected methamphetamine ring.

According to a press release from the Marathon County Sheriff's Department, a search warrant was obtained for Schofield area hotel after it was believed drug activity was taking place in one of the rooms.

Investigators say inside they found several ounces of meth, drug packaging items, and scales. Three people were taken into custody. Authorities say the drugs have an estimated street value of nearly $12,000.

As result of information received, a second search warrant was executed at a home on Wausau's west side. Four additional suspects were arrested.

The arrests were result of a collaborative effort between the Sheriff's Department, Wausau Police Department and the Everest Metro Police Department.
