Some famous faces of NewsChannel 7 went back to school today.
Meteorologists Mike Breunling, Katie O'Brien and Chad Franzen presented weather lessons to freshman science classes at Wausau West.
They said talking about the basics of the weather as a teacher was a little bit different than forecasting it, and it's a bit nerve-racking knowing they're teaching students material they'll be tested on.
Some of the things Breunling, O'Brien and Franzen talked taught about were the elements that come together to cause weather, such as different types of clouds, which also help them forecast.
They also chatted about severe weather.
Teachers say they enjoy having meteorologists come in to give lessons during the freshman science classes' weather week because it gives students a chance to see some of science's real-life applications.
