Weston Meeting

Updated: Fri 10:56 AM, Jul 26, 2002

Plans to bring a new medical center to Weston are in the works, but not everyone is supporting the project.

At a town meeting residents expressed many concerns about building a new 100-bed hospital and medical office building.

Worries include the nursing shortage, and an increase in taxes, health care costs, noise and traffic.

Representatives from Ministry Health Care were there to help address those concerns.

The new medical center will most likely be built along Highway 29 and Camp Phillips Road.

By Monday, July 29, the planning commission will decide if that land can be used.
