Fire Damages Vilas County Home
An investigation is underway into what caused a Vilas County home to ignite Sunday night.

Firefighters responded to a fire in the town of Conover in Vilas County Sunday night.
A call reporting the blaze at 3656 Champeny Lane came into dispatch at 6:16 p.m.
No one was inside when the fire started and no one was injured.
The Vilas County Sheriff’s Department reports the fire caused substantial damage to the home.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The Conover Fire Department, Phelps Fire Department, Eagle River Fire Department, East Side RIT team, WE Energies and Vilas County Sheriff’s Department all responded to the fire.
