She's lost a hundred pounds.
And now the Wausau woman is sharing her story with a national audience.
If you pick up the November issue of "Shape" magazine, you'll find tons of weight-loss tips.
But, what might inspire you to get in shape the most, is an area woman's story featured in the fitness magazine.
Krystyna Hajer struggled with weight loss since she got pregnant.
She tried exercising but couldn't find anything that worked.
At her heaviest, the 5'4 woman weighted in at 250 pounds.
Then, about 5 years ago, Krystyna decided to take up ballroom dancing.
Nine months after she started, she was a hundred pounds lighter.
What worked this time, was she found something she enjoyed.
"One of the reasons why I decided to try ballroom because I always wanted to do that," says Hajer, "Everybody should look for something they love and we should be afraid to try everything in our life."
She's hoping her story will inspire others to find a fun way to get fit.
Krystyna dances for about 45 minutes four days a week to maintain her weight.
