WESTON, Wis. (AP) -- An autopsy has found a genetic disorder in the 14-year-old D.C. Everest Junior High student who died in September during cross country practice.

The Marathon County Medical Examiner's office says Thursday that Forrest Goetsch of rural Wausau died from complications of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

EDS is characterized by defective connective tissue that supports skin, muscle and ligaments.

A preliminary autopsy done shortly after his death Sept. 21 indicated Goetsch's death was from cardiac-related natural causes.
