This week the Wausau West Drama Program will be bringing a brand new show to Wausau and to the West stage – The Wedding Singer.
The 2006 hit Broadway Musical The Wedding Singer, which is currently touring the US, is helping to keep the magic of the 80’s alive. The show is based on the 1998 film of the same name which features Adam Sandler in the lead role.
It is a story with a lot of heart. Robbie Hart is a wedding singer, a guy who helps bring happiness into people’s lives on their special day. Unfortunately, he can’t seem to bring happiness into his own life. Fortunately Robbie meets and then falls for a sweet, kind-hearted girl named Julia. Eventually the two of them realize that they’re meant for each other.
The show is filled with show-stopping musical numbers and a stream of 80’s gags, fads and humor.
Performances of The Wedding Singer will be held in the Wausau West Auditorium on Thursday, Friday, Saturday – November 5, 6, & 7 at 7:30pm and Sunday, November 8th at 1:30pm.
Tickets are available in advance from the Wausau West Business Office or at the door.
Call 261-0877 for more information.
