The flooding at the dells of the Eau Claire is so powerful it has actually damaged both the dam and the bridge that runs on top of the dam.
Park officials aren't shutting the area down, but they are asking everyone to be very careful.
Ken Krueger is with the Marathon Parks Department. He says, "This is the first year in several years that we've had sufficient snow so we do have high water. It's very unsafe, lot of turbulence, lot of rapids."
Krueger says they don't know how bad the damage to the dam is yet because the waters are still too high to get near it.
