Traffic Fatals
Two people are dead after traffic accidents in north central Wisconsin on Monday.
The Taylor County Sheriff's Department says 51-year-old Gail Niznik of Lublin was killed when her car left the road and rolled over in a ditch near the Town of Taft.
Niznik was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Clark County Sheriff's department says 45-year-old Donna Yanda of Stevens Point was killed in a crash in a construction zone near Neillsville Monday morning.
Captain Mark Cattanach says a semi-tractor trailer failed to slow down for a flag person and hit two cars waiting to be sent through the one-lane work area.
Cattanach says the flag person and another construction worker were able to jump into a ditch to avoid injury.
Yanda was in one of the vehicles waiting to pass through. She died later at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
