"It is very troubling and I think most of the public would find it troubling as well."

We hear about drunk driving all the time, but there aren't many of us who are around the victims and offenders like Marathon County Assistant District Attorney Kurt Klomberg. He says drunk drivers affect us all.

"It's a threat to every single person in the community," he says.

Vilas County Judge James Moore agrees. He's currently on temporary assignment in Marathon County, but still sees all too many people charged with driving drunk come through his courtroom.

"The problem stems from a society that is, at times, pre-occupied with alcohol."

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, one-third of all deadly crashes on state highways are alcohol-related.
