SNE is in the middle of contract negotiations with their union, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 1594.
Two hundred employees agreed to take a voluntary leave, but another 400 were laid off Monday.
Early Tuesday afternoon, a SNE spokesman issued a statement saying the company will begin calling employees back to work throughout the week.
That spokesman says they will continue to call back the workers on as-needed basis.
