Some aviation students spread their wings in Stevens Point Saturday morning.
Instructor Gary Olsen gives free flight training to help raise interest in flying and to dispel misunderstandings about flying as a hobby.
"There's a misconception about expense, that you need to be a millionaire to be able to fly your own plane," said Gary Olsen, Flight Instructor.
Olsen says the cost of a pilot's license is about equal to the cost of a used snowmobile.
The flight instructor puts on the free seminars once a month. The next one is scheduled for Saturday, April 3.
