Gov. Jim Doyle spent the morning in Wisconsin Rapids telling Stora Enso employees about his support of the paper industry and announcing a $650,000 State grant.
The money is to be used to train more than 400 current Stora Enso employees in using new high tech machinery.
The grant is associated with Doyle's "Grow Wisconsin" Initiative, which helps businesses that are willing to make long term investments in the state.
Stora Enso is investing a total of $98.7 Million in expanding the production capability of its facilities in Biron, Kimberly and Wisconsin Rapids.
