The Shawano County Sheriff's Department has arrested a 19-year-old Whitewater man after he was found to be in possession of marijuana in his vehicle.
According to a press release, he was also arrested Wednesday for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Authorities say a K-9 alerted deputies to the marijuana.
The Sheriff's Department says he was arrested after deputies say he was "conducting himself in a suspicious manner" nearly County Highway K near the area of the Shawano drug eradication operation.

Wow, to comment on the intellect of the person (Anonymous) who said science found marijuana to be a "dangerous" drug (regarding Doug's comment). Do you have any idea why marijuana was made illegal in 1937? Do you have any idea what the 'Shafer Commission' was during the Nixon Administration? If you don't (as it seems), then you should educate yourself. The presidential report suggested decriminalizing marijuana; instead Nixon ignored it and made it more illegal than it was (DEA scheduling went into effect). Marijuana is 2 times less addictive than alcohol (<9% of people who use cannabis will be "clinically diagnosable"). Marijuana doesn't contain more tar and carcinogens than tobacco smoke like some government funded organizations claim (ONDCP). Marijuana SMOKE actually shows signs to prevent cancer growth in the lungs (Dr. Donald Tashkin from UCLA). The marijuana prohibition hasn't kept marijuana out of anyone's' hands, especially teens. It has actually ruined more lives.

The addictive qualities of dope is clearly indicated by the extant that this dope went thru just to get "buzzed". Such a fool. Doug, dope was not always illegal, science proved it to be a dangereous drug. In my personal experience dope users are the most dangereous people to work around, they seem to have a lack of cognitive thinking.
