A count of misdemeanor battery was filed Wednesday in Dane County court against Maurice "Boo" Wade.
Madison police say he choked a 19-year-old woman at her off campus home. The woman was treated at a hospital and later released.
The sophomore guard was suspended from the team following his arrest, but appealed and has been reinstated.
Wade is scheduled to make an appearance in court Thursday morning.
