If you're not quite ready to paint your walls, you can still give a room a personal look with art.
It's your idea of what's artistic and there's really no wrong idea. From fabric wall hangings to framed tiles or traditional oil paintings, it can all be beautiful if it blends well in your home.
"It should not be clashing with your wall color or character of the room," says Cheryl Marks-Rolfe of Scottie's Interiors.
As for how to place art on the walls, "You should think about using different shapes and sizes and don't repeat the same size throughout the room," says Designer Lecia Marks-Franson.
Finally, if cost is a big factor for you, consider a tastefully framed reproduction. It can be just as striking as a one of a kind piece and no one will know it's not original artwork.
