From "Green Eggs and Ham" to "Oh, the Places You'll Go," we remember the titles of the silly tales from Dr. Seuss.
Area schools held birthday celebrations for the milestone, cooking up real green eggs and ham, and making tall "Cat in the Hat" hats.
Many of us have our favorites, but one title tops the list.
"It's hard to pick, but I think I do like green eggs and ham," says Jill Falstad, Marathon County District Attorney.
The birthday celebration also falls on another important day, "Read Across America." It's an annual lesson that teaches kids to enjoy and celebrate reading.
Dr. Seuss has published more than 44 books over the years. They are published in 20 different languages.
