Hundreds of central Wisconsin residents were freezin' for a reason in the Wisconsin River Saturday.
They jumped in the frigid waters to raise money for the Special Olympics.
The fifth annual “Polar Plunge” will benefit athletes from 13 counties across north-central Wisconsin, and everybody who was taking the plunge seemed to be having a good time.
Last year, the plungers raised $88,000.
Organizers say the “Polar Plunge” is by far the biggest Special Olympics fundraiser in central Wisconsin.
