Eight-year-old Mitchell Krichoff of Waupun died Saturday night after he went under water in a Langlade County lake.
Mitchell was swimming in Harper Lake near Pickerel just before seven when he went under water.
Pickerel EMS pulled the boy out of the water. He was transported by helicopter to St. Joseph's in Marshfield, and was pronounced dead just before 10 p.m. Saturday night.
The drowning is still under investigation.
