Six people have now been charged and more face charges after a drug bust Friday afternoon in Wausau.
Brittany May Schroeder, 23, Ashley Neuman, 23, Choua Xiong, 24, Dustin Gottschalk, 20, and Erik Black, 36, all appeared in Marathon County Circuit Court Monday on meth-related charges.
Amber Kubetz, 18, also appeared in court Monday following Friday's arrests. She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to court documents the bust centered around a home on the 1200 block of N. 2nd Street.
An investigation began Feb. 19 after a tip regarding suspected drug activity at the home. Officers executed a search warrant on March 14. According to court documents, investigators seized hundreds of dollars worth of methamphetamine, small baggies typically used for drug resale, digital scales, and drug paraphernalia.
The bust is second meth bust in Wausau in just days resulting in multiple arrests and charges.
On March 11 investigators from the Wausau Police Department, Marathon County Sheriff's Department and Everest Metro Police Department executed two search warrants-- one at a Wausau home, the other at a Weston hotel. In all, eight people were charged and $12,000 worth of methamphetamine was seized. Click here to read the details of that article.
